![]() ![]() LaTeX can be entered directly into MathType, and MathType equations in Microsoft Word can be converted to and from LaTeX. MathType also supports the math markup languages TeX, LaTeX and MathML. This contrasts to document markup languages such as LaTeX where equations are entered as markup in a text editor and then processed into a typeset document as a separate step. If your hand / mouse writing is less clear, correction afterwards is possible.MathType is a graphical editor for mathematical equations, allowing entry with the mouse or keyboard in a full graphical WYSIWYG environment. In any case, a nice tool that can come in handy every now and then! Especially if you have to produce a report of, for example, a practical physics test or something similar. Ideal for if your handwriting is just a little less legible, or if your mouse creation may not be quite your liking. Then a list of possible alternatives appears, choose something to your liking and the correction will be implemented. Draw a selection around the part you want to correct. And there is your formula! If you make a mistake while writing your formula, you will see a panel on the right side of the drawing field with various correction buttons. Once your formula is ready, you start something like Word. Anyway, the idea is that in the yellow area you simply write your formula by hand, just as you would on paper. But fear not: you can also go a long way with the mouse. If you have such a screen, it will come in handy (finally?). Actually, the tool – we guess – is intended for touch screens. But don’t be put off by that, the effect is soon clear. Indeed: this is also an English-language part in a Dutch version of Windows 10. ![]() But it can be a lot easier! In the Start menu under Accessories, click once Math Input Panel. And to build it up again in a Word document or something like that is often quite a hassle. In high school, further study or work they come regularly: mathematical formulas. Mathematical formulas often contain a specific structure, with sub-stripes and other special symbols. ![]()
